Nursing Assistant, Certified

Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, assisting with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and patient mobility. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Medical Assistants, or Behavioral Health Assistants (BHA) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily activities, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help move, transfer, and transport patients safely.
• Change bed linens and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Monitor and report patient conditions to nursing staff as needed.
• Provide emotional support and promote patient comfort and well-being.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient knowledge of assistive nursing procedures and patient care.
• Understanding of sanitation, personal hygiene, and safety practices.
• Familiarity with human anatomy and patient-handling techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Skilled in basic life support, including CPR, AED use, and ventilations (may be required).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Behavioral Health Technician (BHA).
• Prior experience in a healthcare or patient-care setting preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Must possess valid certification (CNA, Medical Assistant, or BHA).
• Basic life support certification (preferred but not mandatory).

Work Environment:

• Hands-on role, which may involve standing for long periods, lifting patients, and assisting with patient mobility.
